(ATLANTA, GA) November 17, 2003 -- Lanier Speedway late model driver Peter Petropoulos feels that he is ready to make the next move in his racing career next year. However, the ZR Motorsports team has yet to decide which direction they will take for the 2004-racing season.

"We are going to move up in 2004, there's no doubt about that," stated driver Peter Petropoulos. "We feel as a team it's time to move away from the late model racing and broaden our horizons."

Petropoulos, however, won't complain about his 2003 Lanier Speedway season.

The Georgia native racked up three victories, five poles, and collected several top-ten finishes. "It was a good season for us at Lanier," said the driver of the No. 28 Chevrolet. "Thanks to our sponsor Battle Paint & Drywall, we were able to make some noise, and I know our relationship with them will continue to blossom for many years to come."

Looking ahead to February, the team feels they have a lot of options. "We are leaning towards the American Speed Association tour for next season, with the option of competing in a few ARCA RE/MAX Series events along with a NASCAR Busch Series race, we just don't know at this point," continued Petropoulos, who scored a pole and a win in the Southern All-Stars Touring Series this year.

"Our team continues to work around the clock talking with potentional sponsors with every effort of making next year a winning one."

The goals are simple.

"We want to win next year, that's a fact," explained the driver. "We have a great bunch of people, we are just waiting on some finishing touches before we nail down a series for next year."

Petropoulos often referred to, as one of the "Young Guns" at Lanier is ready for anything next year. "No matter what series we'll compete in, we want to be noticed, I want to show I can race clean and responsibility, I think 2004 can be a very big year for us."
