Catoma, AL Heading into Montgomery Motor Speedway for the
tracks season
finale, the Alabama 250, Peter Petropoulos of Flowery Branch, Georgia,
hoped
for a good finish and possible win. Petropoulos struggled a bit in
qualifying in the Edy's-Nestle-Haagen Dazs Ice Cream, Buford Plumbing,
Ron's
Auto Sales, Races Against Drugs Chevrolet, having to start 11th on the
field.
During the early part of the 100 lap Pro Late Model feature, Petropoulos
had
to pit twice during cautions to make adjustments to the chassis of his
racer.
"I really felt that once we made the adjustments to the racecar, we
possibly had
the fastest car on the track, said Petropoulos, fighting back from the
rear

to
the front with such tough competition."
The team finished 3rd in the feature event on the historic central Alabama

"We are pleased with our finish and really enjoyed our visit to the
track,
