Cordele, GA In his first visit to Watermelon Capital Speedway
(formally Cordele Motor Speedway), Flowery Branch, Georgia's Peter
Petropoulos won the USAR Georgia Asphalt Series 100 Saturday night.
Petropoulos started his Ron's Auto Sales, RevolutionShocks.com, Race
Against Drugs Chevy Monte Carlo on the outside pole and led every lap
for the victory.
"This was a great win for our new team, said Petropoulos. It was
fun to go to a new track and get a win."
Petropulous was followed by Tallahassee, Florida's Marc Mitchell,
Gainesville, Georgia's and USAR-GAS Series Points Leader Frederick Moore
and Commerce, Georgia's Lee Langford.
Petropoulos, who is running a limited schedule this season, plans to
run the Southern All-Stars event at Lanier National Speedway August 7th.
